We're proud to share that Earth Knowledge CEO Julia Armstrong D'Agnese has been named a 2026 Catalyst for “rewriting the rules of supply chain, sustainability, and systems thinking.”
This recognition comes from Women of the Revolution, a global recognition program founded by Sheri R Hinish, the Supply Chain Queen®.
Hinish created the Catalyst Class of 2026 to put Armstrong D’Agnese and others “in the historical record of an industry undergoing one of the most consequential transformations of our time.”
Supply chain leaders are navigating a great deal in today’s fast-changing world, including geopolitical instability, aging infrastructure, and extreme weather.
In 2026, growing extreme weather events are likely to affect many industries, including food and agriculture, pharmaceuticals, skincare, and biofuels.
Knowing what’s coming and having time to act on it makes all the difference in managing risk.
That’s what Earth Knowledge does.
Our Integrated Planetary Intelligence® platform, delivered in partnership with Microsoft, gives leaders:
✔️ Reliable foresight into what impacts to expect from weather, climate, and nature changes days to decades into the future.
✔️ Actionable insights to help leaders protect their people, operations, supply chains, and investments.
“I’m very grateful to Sheri Hinish, who has done so much to advance supply chains—and honored to receive this recognition on behalf of the extraordinary team of experts at Earth Knowledge,” Armstrong D’Agnese said.
New Report from Earth Knowledge Advisor:
Crop Resilience is Declining. Foresight Can Change That

Row crops like corn and soybeans are a $100 billion business annually, with significant implications for food and ag, insurance, and countless other industries.
They are also the backbone of
✔️ Livestock feed systems, ✔️ Processed food ingredients, and ✔️ Many other supply chains.
But across Illinois, Indiana, and Iowa, resilience in 7 key crops (corn, soybeans, wheat, sorghum, alfalfa, barley, and silage) is trending in the wrong direction, according to a new analysis by Earth Knowledge Advisor Dave Gustafson, Ph.D. (Link in comments.)
Based on this finding, Gustafson, who has 30 years of experience in the food and ag industry, calls for renewed focus and stronger incentives for resilience-building practices, including greater crop diversity and rotations, conservation tillage, and cover crops.
Better foresight is also key.
Leaders can make decisions that strengthen resilience when they are armed with the foresight to anticipate disruptions from:
🌡️ Extreme heat 🌊 Flooding 💧Water stress 🌵Drought 🔥 Wildfires ⛈️ Extreme storms
The Earth Knowledge team uses its unique Integrated Planetary Intelligence® platform to analyze changes in weather, climate, and natural systems—ranging from days to decades into the future.
This helps provide leaders with the foresight they need to minimize costs and increase opportunities in a changing world.
Earth Knowledge clients range from Fortune 500 companies to the State of California, the world's 4th-largest economy, and one of the most important specialty crop regions.
What difference could that kind of foresight make for your season and five- to ten-year annual plans?
Dr. Don Wuebbles Honored—Again
We have another reason to celebrate Dr. Don Wuebbles!
Last month, Earth Knowledge Director of Climate Science Dr. Wuebbles was honored as one of only 32 scholars inaugurated into a new global intellectual platform, Koinon, established by the Academy of Athens.
Oh, yes, our Don also:
✔️ Is part of the IPCC team awarded the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize for its work on climate science
✔️ Served as assistant director, Office of Science & Technology, Executive Office of the President under President Obama, and
✔️ Is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Illinois.
At Earth Knowledge, Dr. Wuebbles’ leadership strengthens our ability to turn rigorous climate, weather, and Earth systems science into actionable insights for leaders, helping them reduce risk and increase resilience in a changing world.
With the growing frequency of extreme weather events impacting operations, supply chains, and investments, how is trustworthy foresight shaping your decision-making?

The Business Case for Climate Resilience
Climate resilience shapes operational and capital decisions—or at least, it should.
In “The Business Case for Climate Resilience”, Earth Knowledge Advisor Benjamin DeAngelo and coauthor Gwyneth Fries write that research consistently shows that the cost of adaptation is significantly lower than the cost of being caught unprepared.
DeAngelo, who previously served as Director of the Office of Climate Adaptation and Sustainability at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and Fries note that:
✔️ Investing $1.8 trillion in adaptation could generate more than $7 trillion in net benefits by 2030, according to the Global Commission on Adaptation.
✔️ Resilient infrastructure can deliver up to $10 in savings for every $1 invested, according to the World Resources Institute.
✔️ For every $1 invested in adaptation and resilience, J.P. Morgan reports returns ranging from $2 to $43.
✔️ The world’s 1,200 largest publicly traded companies could face up to $1.2 trillion in annual climate-related infrastructure costs by 2050, according to S&P Global.
At Earth Knowledge, we provide leaders with the foresight to make decisions that reduce risk, increase resilience, and identify new opportunities in a changing world.
If climate, nature, and Earth systems change foresight were embedded in your organization, what could that do for your operations, supply chains, and investments?

Earth Knowledge highlighted in #1 Sustainable Business new release, “ESG Mindset” by Matt Sekol
Author Matt Sekol of the # Sustainable Business new release, highlighted Earth Knowledge’s capabilities to help companies assess and mitigate climate risk through the Earth Knowledge Twin.
*“Building these Technology-based planetary insights is what a company called Earth Knowledge does with hundreds of petabytes of data. It has effectively created a digital twin of the Earth to uncover long-term risk across several climate indicators. *
Using the models, a hotel management company might learn that three of the managed properties in California are at high risk of wildfires. From that digital insight, the company could further explore ways to adapt the land around the property for that risk through landscaping, plant cover, or other options.
In this way the digital translates back into the physical world, helping the company plan for long-term resilience.”
